The Leon Levine Foundation promotes matching grants to help nonprofits improve relationships with donors, increase overall contributed revenue and spark innovative development strategies.
Data shows that matching grants, when combined with strong fundraising efforts and a focused strategy, can result in new donor acquisition and increased giving from current supporters. We believe matches are most effective when paired with a comprehensive donor retention/stewardship plan to ensure that new and increased gifts are additive to an organization’s overall contributed revenue. When awarding matching grants, we look for innovative/creative donor strategies that intentionally leverage our Foundation’s involvement and incorporates your retention/stewardship plan. There is no single formula for determining the best use of a matching grant. We collaborate with our nonprofit partners to tailor the structure of matching grants to their organizations in the most impactful way.
The Leon Levine Foundation issues challenge grants to inspire communities to reach aggressive, one-time campaign targets.
