Jewish Values

Fostering Jewish values is one of the cornerstones of the Foundation. Exposing individuals to programs that build Jewish identity will teach not only these values but also the importance of faith, how to practice and learn, and how to accept differing beliefs. A strong Jewish community provides a safe and nurturing environment in which to introduce, experience, and expand one’s Jewish value system. To accomplish these goals, we invest in programs across our region and in U.S. partner agencies supporting Israeli nonprofits.

Leon Levine’s Legacy

“I believe in the importance of faith, and that Jewish values, such as tzedakah (charity) and tikkun olam (repairing the world), can be instilled through the building of Jewish identity and the strengthening of Jewish communities.”

Helping to instill Jewish values and identity in Jewish people and strengthening the Jewish community is a high priority for the Foundation. Leon Levine has a keen interest in the promotion of Israel and seeks to pass down the rich traditions, customs, and values that will shape a meaningful Jewish life for generations to come.
